About 45 minutes west of Denver, the small historic mountain town is home to restaurants, shops, and local trails. The mining town makes a great location for mountain engagement sessions given its beautiful views of Georgetown Lake, vintage buildings and museums, and small parks with incredible mountain views.

Lost Gulch Barn/Lookout

4.3 miles up Flagstaff Road, Boulder, CO 80302

Lost Gulch Lookout, located on Flagstaff Mountain, is a quintessential destination for an ideal Colorado backdrop. Just a short walk from the north parking lot, Lost Gulch has rugged rocks and stunning views of the Indian Peaks and Rocky Mountains.  Not only that, but Lost Gulch has a hidden barn for a rustic, countryside vibe; your engagement photos will have an extra cozy feel!

Bald Mountain

Sunshine Canyon Dr, Boulder, CO 80302

Bald Mountain in Boulder, CO is yet another engagement session with spectacular mountain views. With less visitors than Lost Gulch, Bald Mountain is perfect for a more intimate engagement shoot.

Trailhead Vista

3321-3439 S Foothills Hwy, Boulder, CO 80303

0.3 mile south of Highway 128 on Highway 93, the Vista Trailhead offers views of Boulder’s iconic Flatirons, giving way to an adventurous, outdoor engagement shoot.

South Valley Park

90 S Valley Rd, Littleton, CO 80401

South Valley Park is Jefferson County Open Space located in Jefferson County west of Ken Caryl, Colorado; it is about 35-minutes Southwest of Denver. The 909-acre Front Range park was established in 1999; South Valley Park has dramatic red sandstone spires and stunning views of craggy outcroppings for a warm engagement.

Lookout Mountain

Lookout Mountain Park is a Denver Mountain Park located around 12 miles west of downtown Denver overlooking Golden, Colorado. It consists of 65.7 acres of evergreen wilderness atop Lookout Mountain, named for its favored lookout point of the native Ute Indian tribe. As a foothill of the Rocky Mountains, Lookout offers natural mountain scenery with wildflowers abound in warmer months while peace prevails on snowy winter days.

Chautauqua

Baseline Rd & 9th St, Boulder, CO 80302

Chautauqua Park is a portion of an iconic historic landmark dating back to when the City of Boulder began preserving wild lands over 100 years ago. Chautauqua Park is a spacious greenway containing cottages and a dining hall with mountain views. At the base of the Flatirons, couples can embrace in a mountain engagement in the tall wild grasses, surrounded by views of the foothills in the distance. Chautauqua Park lies at the base of Flagstaff Mountain, making it easy to hit two locations in one session: Chautauqua and Lost Gulch!

Some of the locations will require a permit, or fee. Be sure to check with your photographer, so you can ensure your session runs smoothly.
