The story of Olga and Daniel started with the Russian language. Daniel an opera singer, needed to know the language for his art. Olga’s first language is Russian and her profession as a teacher allowed the romance to begin.
My knowledge of these two love birds first started with Olga 6 or so years ago at a spin class and continued through our love of the ballet. Facebook told me the welcome news that Daniel popped the question and soon Olga was making wedding preparations choosing Heirloomsnaps for their wedding photography.
We started photographing their traditional Russian Orthodox wedding at All Saints of Russia in Denver, where we captured beautiful moments of their orthodox betrothal. Later bread was broken and sprinkled with salt called Bread and Salt. The priest blessed the cake, Russian sparkling wine was poured, and the cake was cut.
The Golden Hour was enjoyed at Wellshire Inn while Olga and Daniel laughed, kissed, and snuggled for their newlywed portraits. At the dinner reception the couple danced a the waltz while a string quartet played “All the Things You Are.” Before we left we snagged some fun shots in the bridal suite and Skyped family who couldn’t attend the wedding. It was a day to celebrate and a day to never forget.
