Last time we checked in with Kyle and Linnea, they were showcasing their deep love and unique spark during their engagement shoot. Now, they are walking down the aisle and beginning a new chapter in their life, surrounded by friends and family. This was a particularly enjoyable wedding to be a part of, starting with the venue. The couple had its ceremony and reception at the historic Oxford Hotel in Denver, Colorado. The Oxford has been around since 1891, and has functioned as an illegal speakeasy, as well as a host to a plethora of famous guests. It has a classic and historic energy that gives it a life of its own, and adds a level of class in the midst of the city. The couple fell in love with the venue after their first visit, the classic charm of the Oxford was inescapable for them.
Kyle and Linnea met at a car rental office, but taking one look at them it was easy to see how much their relationship has developed from that time. Their natural chemistry adds a personal sparkle to their images that showcases not only outward beauty, but a deep love that resounds throughout time. Kyle and Linnea shared a first look at Union Station before their ceremony, and the anticipation was practically tangible within the room. Kyle lit up at the sight of Linnea, and even in 90 degree Colorado heat, they remained smiling throughout the evening. It goes to show how much a venue can add to a wedding, yet what really makes it memorable is an unbreakable bond between two people.
One of the most heartfelt details of the wedding was Linnea’s necklace. Her father had made stain glass windows for a church in Pueblo, and they were later vandalized beyond repair. Kyle, with the help of Linnea’s family, received a few blue pieces of the glass, and had them made into a necklace for Linnea to wear as she walked down the aisle. A symbol of her fathers love was worn close to her heart, a piece of the past as the couple faced the future.
Later in the evening some great shots were captured when a Greek celebratory dance circle burst out, which made for some candid and fun shots, it’s always great to see a room of people so ecstatic for the couple. Best of luck Kyle and Linnea!
