Vanessa Mir

A few more minutes and we’ll be there. That’s what I kept saying as I took Julia and Steve to Bald Mountain Scenic Area in Boulder, CO. Lucky for me I had my assistant Joe along to carry my lighting bag and ladder.  Julia was the smart girl who brought along a portable changing room, who knew.  Once we arrive to the scenic over look it was easy.

The concept of the perfectly dressed couple set against nature is still getting a lot of attention. We had to give it a go. Julia’s gown was custom made. Steve held his own in a perfectly tailored suit and dress shirt with perfectly monogramed cuffs.

For the styling of the couple I chose to go moody over fun. Julia and Steve having traveled all the way to Hong Kong for their first engagement shoot (unfortunately not with me) were seasoned pros and I knew I could go a different direction with them. They fell into the mood and added their own personal touch of romance.

We will be photographing them again at their August wedding at The Falls Event Center.
