Sammie and Mike were married in Fort Collins, Colorado. We met them there, and throughout the day, we were introduced to some of charm of the town through the venues that they chose to include in their special day. We started at the Armstrong Hotel, where Sammie’s sister, who owns a salon, did Sammie’s hair and makeup. Sammie wore her grandmother’s earrings as a token of sentimentality, demonstrating how important family is to her and the procession of the wedding events that day. Sammie shared a first look with her fiance’ at the Oval at Colorado State University before heading over to City Park for her ceremony.
Keeping with the theme of family, Sammie’s niece served as a flower girl, and her nephew was their ring bearer. Their officiant was a close friend, and the couple shared a toast before finally saying “I do.” Afterwards, we snagged some great shots of the wedding party in front of an old fashioned trolley, which they rode to the reception at the beautiful Agave Room located within Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant. There they and their guests enjoyed hot plates of Mexican food, chips and queso, and a plethora of margaritas. Their wedding day was filled with adoration from family, delicious food and drinks, and a whole lot of dancing! It showcased the personality of the city, and the love shared between two people.
